An odyssey to the west

This blog will document the entire event of my trip to Canada and its preparation work. Be warned: occasional crapping and irrelevant details about my life will also be featured in this blog.

The trip reaches a climax at Niagara (part 3)

Nothing can be more breathe taking than taking a ferry right into the middle of the 3 falls and experience the beauty of the Niagara falls in its full grandeur. Known as 'The Maid of the Mist', the ferry is a world famous tourist attraction, providing tourists with spectacular photo taking opportunities.

It's not a 'all blues' costume party! It will be a wet ride when we take the boat right into the middle of the 3 falls, which explains the poncho (it kinda reminds me of NDP). In case you're wondering where the heck is Jiahao, he had wandered off to take photo and ended up at the lower deck of the ferry.

Picture taken before we were ferried into the middle of the Niagara falls, enjoying our last dry moment.

It was until I saw it with my own eyes, I cannot believe that the water from the falls can result in ths gigantic cloud of water vapour surging up to the skies! It's a gigantic vortex of water vapour generated by the huge volume of water splashing down on to the surface of the water.

Bracing ourselves for some real WETNESS!!!

Wild Wild WET!!!

An aftermath shot. I must really give thanks to Jean for his bravery and generosity to expose his camera all the while when we were in the vortex of water vapour.

The American and Bridal Veil falls. If you look closely, there's a rainbow formed by the refraction of light on the water vapours of the falls. The falls alone is beautiful, but the rainbow completes the beauty...

Horse shoe fall in its full grandeur, beautiful isn't it? I'm so glad that I can see this natural wonder in my life time.

The bridge that links Canada to USA!

Arggghhh!!! I did not get to walk these planks into the interior of the falls! It was the only regret I had in this trip!

Living quarters for the staff workin at Niagara?
