An odyssey to the west

This blog will document the entire event of my trip to Canada and its preparation work. Be warned: occasional crapping and irrelevant details about my life will also be featured in this blog.

The trip reaches a climax at Niagara (part 1)

Most country has a crowning geographical attraction formed by the works of Nature over thousand of years. The United States has the Grand Canyon, Europe has the Alps, Japan its Mount Fuji, and Canada, the Niagara falls. I thought to myself: this must be the climax of the entire trip, I can finally get to see the awe-inspiring art piece carved out by mother nature herself using the rapids from the Niagara river. Just a little trivia before the picture galore, the Niagara falls consists of 3 waterfalls namely the American falls, the Bridal Veil falls and in my opinion, the most beautiful of the 3, the Canadian "horseshoe" falls.

Before we reached Niagara, we stopped over at this flower park for about 10 to 15 minutes. It was a much needed respite from 4 whole hours of boring bus ride. The clock tower is not entirely made out of flower, at least not the minute and hour hands!

Sporty babe from Hungary, Orsi Timar (the O in her name has two dots on top, a special Hungarian character, so her name is pronounced as er-shee), Allan and me.

The number of international students signing up for this trip is incredulous! They need 3 buses to ferry everyone from UWO to Niagara!

The bus ride from UWO to Niagara took 4 hours, and by the time we arrived at Niagara it was well into lunch time. More than a hundred exchange students converge into Planet Hollywood to ease their hunger.

Jiahao a showroom model? My ass... He's just contemplating a career in the public transport sector!

Emma (whacky gal from France), me and Jean were the last three standing competitors of the "Hands on Chevy 2006". Hunger pangs and pure common sense tell us to abandon the match shortly after this picture was taken.

Why is Jiahao looking so despondant? No matter how 'Pok Gai' that car looks, it's still a car what!

The interiors of Planet Hollywood, it's just like immersing yourself in one of those Hollywood movies.

If you look closely, this mannequin of Sylvester Stallone has a piece of black tape discretely covering up his p***s.

Don't ask me why, but Jiahao insist on taking pictures of Planet Hollywood's washroom.

Magazines cover of yore, notice how young Robert Redford looked. I still remembered his face looked like a badly crumpled piece of paper in 'Spy Games'.

I can understand why Demi Moore and Nicole Kidman are wearing lipstick, but Tom Cruise?! He's not called the most eccentric star in Hollywood for nothing.

David (pronounced dah-vee in French) from France and Bjorn from Sweden (again, the O in his name has 2 dots on top, and it's pronounced bee-yorng).

Jean, me and David.

Notice the similarity in this picture? It's very conspicuous.

I'm sorry that the pictures of the falls will have to be posted in either part 2 or 3, as the number of pictures we took that day was simply outrageous. For now, I'll have to rest my eyes from close to 2 hours of uploading all these pictures!
