An odyssey to the west

This blog will document the entire event of my trip to Canada and its preparation work. Be warned: occasional crapping and irrelevant details about my life will also be featured in this blog.

London, Downtown (part 1)

Canada London is in a lot of way similar to Orchard Road back home. Rows of shopping mall, eateries and at times, frustrating traffic highlight the distinctive advantage the 2 cities share. However, female readers back home will love it here. With the highest temperature recorded for the day at 19 degree Celsius, shopping outdoor is literally a breeze. This entry will feature the pictures we have taken in London, enjoy.

Entrance of Victoria Park, a park which honors the soldiers and war dead who fought in the British colonial wars and the second World War.

As you can see, they slap us with a fine back in Singapore for littering and other minor offences. In Canada, they take things a tad more seriously. The nature of my offence? Taking my time to walk slowly... An interesting fact for history enthusiasts, the tank is a M4 Sherman (one of the top 3 weapons that won the war for the Allies in World War 2), it belongs to the Canadian tank regiment and has now become a monument in the park.

I've always wanted to own a tank for car. Traffic jam? No worries, my 75mm gun will take care of it with a slight din.

Quiet and serene, the park is ideal for any outdoor activities.

Squirrels squirrels everywhere. This furry devils are both quick and bold, darting around trees and bushes with acorns in their hands.

I seriously have no idea what this monument is for, but oh well, if it makes great picture, then why the hell not?

In memory of the Canadians who fought for the British empire during the colonial wars.

"12 o'clock, 60 degrees, Jiahao behind tree, FIRE!!!!"

Next time I don't want to play true or dare liao...

And the irony is, people in Canada kept asking if I was from China. And when I said Singapore, this time they no longer say is it part of China. Instead, they nodded their head and pretend to know where it is.

The best part came when a cab driver made the audacious assumption that we are an Islamic state. He kept telling us we can get 4 wives and stuff... I wished that the tank could have rolled over me then..
