ACBB
I have got to admit that I did have some reservation when I was considering putting up our stay at a beds and breakfast (b & b) for two days before we move into the residence. Afterall, sharing rooms with fellow guests in the B & B with dubious background could put our safety to question. Nevertheless, we didn't really have much of a choice anyway as almost all the hotels in London are fully booked, so we had to settle for All Canadian Beds & Breakfast (ACBB) after much deliberations.
Our cab took us from the airport straight to ACBB (at down town London) in less than 15 minutes. A small, nondescript 3-storeyed detached house greeted us when we alighted from our cab. We were at once welcomed by the host of ACBB, a jovial and big guy called Patrick and began orientating us around the house and to our room. Trivial in appearance and space when compared to most hotels, it was however a warm and cosy place. Furthermore, Patrick is a perfect host. Eager to help and extremely generous in advice. He introduced us to his housekeeper Connie, a lady that is just as nice and friendly and his wide eyed and always curious son Sawyer. Not as bad as I thought, it's almost like putting up at a friend's place. Going at CA$25 per person per night with free breakfast everyday and BBQ on saturday nights, it was a real bargain.
Appearance is deceiving, in the words of a Canadian, "ACBB is awesome!"
Workstations with wireless access for those who could not betechnologically deprived.
Hard at work? Not a chance, just updating my entries and msn-ing.
Sumptous spread for breakfast, but I learnt that early bird gets EVERYTHING.
Connie's the lady wearing pink and a cap, the blonde babe wearing glasses is Jenny from Sweden.
That huge guy in the middle is Patrick, I bet he could easily crush me with 1 hand. His son Sawyer is as adorable in picture and in person. Notice the made in Singapore keychain he is holding.
Sleep comes easily for our first night in ACBB due to severe jet lag. Safe for Jiahao's snoring and Allan's periodical but deafening teeth grinding, my sleep was pretty sound.
