An odyssey to the west

This blog will document the entire event of my trip to Canada and its preparation work. Be warned: occasional crapping and irrelevant details about my life will also be featured in this blog.

Toronto (part2)---> China town and the start of a long trek...

A quote from my geography lecturer who headed the module on World Cities (an eccentric old foggy with more than a slight penchant for drinking and partying), "A city is best explored on foot, in this way, you can feel the pulse of the city." But in actual reality, the reason why we trekked for most of the way through the city of Toronto was simply to save on transport expenses. In an almost accidental manner, we did detect the pulse of this city. It beats just as rapidly as Singapore's be it in terms of its traffic or the pace of its commuters on a casual saturday afternoon.

An odd juxtapose: towering skyscrapers dwarved the heights of nostalgic buildings of yore such as these.

You don't need Sherlock Holmes to tell you that you are in China town

An interesting fact: Toronto has more Chinese than caucasians.
The most memorable part of my brief stay at China town? I got ripped off. Bought a cup of bubble tea for about S$7. Damn it, back home I could easily get at least 3 cups of those crap for the same price, and it really tasted like CRAP!
